Project Selection
One of the most important and often misunderstood elements of the Six Sigma is the project selection. What you need to retain is that the more focused and organized project selection will bring the best results to your organization.
Despite each business has its own specificities, the most successful Six Sigma projects selects usually have the following characteristics:
- They have defined clear goals with unambiguous parameters
- There are at least one Green Belt and one Black Belt working in the same project area
- It needs to have a good alignment between the most critical issues and the strategic initiatives
- The improvements need to be measured
- It needs to contain visible benefits for the customer
- There is the need to be a personal and direct connection to the leader of the project
- It needs to be linked with other projects so that there can be a combined effect.
