QS9000
The QS9000 is one quality system that is most often used by the automotive industry. It was published first in 1994 and it was developed by General Motors, Ford, and Daimler-Chrysler. The QS9000 was reissued in 1998 and it's about to be replaced by the TS16949.
The QS9000 has its main base on the ISO9000. It basically says that services and the suppliers of materials and parts need to comply with their quality norms.
The Automotive Industry Action Group (AIAG) created different manuals that provide all the information that companies need to make sure that they comply with the document.
